Birthplace Bound - Savannah, Georgia

Troop 183 has made two trips to Savannah to enjoy the activities at the Juliette Low Birthplace.  In 2003 and 2005 our Senior Troop members traveled south to participate in the Heritage House Tour, Fashion, Fabric and Frills workshop and the Victorian Dinner.

SAVANNAH 2005

Troop members traveled to Savannah to celebrate Girl Scouting and enjoy all the city has to offer!  Five high school troop members participated in workshops, activities and a special evening Ghost Tour of the Birthplace!

Due to rain, we had to alter our plans and travel around by trolley - but we enjoyed every moment of our trip!

SAVANNAH 2003

Sitting on a bench in "Forrest Gump" Square in Savannah Senior members of Troop 183 traveled to Savannah, Georgia as a way to celebrate their years in Girl Scouting!  Eight high school juniors and seniors enjoyed a long weekend where they participated in workshops and activities at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace.  They toured the home, tried on corsets, hoop skirts and bustles.  They dressed in costumes to have a traditional southern meal during the Victorian Supper. Other activities included attending service at Christ Church (Juliette Lows church) and exploring Savannah on a Ghost Walk!
