Travel to Paris, France
Girl Scout Troop 183 traveled to Paris from July 29 through August 6, 2002.
The links to the left will assist you to become familiar with our travel
preparation and activities. Each link is described below:
- The Paris Photo Album is loaded with pictures from the trip and
commentary about the activities.
- The Paris Itinerary has both our general itinerary that was developed by
the girls and the detailed itinerary (with times) that we used in Paris.
- Paris Accommodation has information about our hotel.
- The Paris Budget shows you how we purchased a travel package and broke
down the pricing for meals, spending money, insurance and additional
sightseeing while in Paris.
- Paris Forms has paperwork I required from each member of the troop. Plus a
list of other paperwork I collected to "be prepared" while on the trip. I
also created a folder for each room and this page has a list of what was
included in the folder with links to sources.
- Paris Glossary was a resource for pre-trip planning.
- Paris Homework are assignments the girls were asked to
complete prior to travel.
- Journal - This is a transcript of the Troop Leaders daily e-mails home combined with
journal entries while on the trip in Paris.
- Paris Preparation is a long page of all the agendas of the travel meetings
leading up to our trip. It will give you an idea of all the topics we
discussed and reviewed prior to travel.

"Is it the food, the history, the romance, the beauty? Whatever
has compelled you to choose Paris as your vacation spot, congratulations and
welcome to one of the loveliest and most magical places in the world.
You'll be exploring a city with treasures that are spectacular and
inexhaustible, an addictive city that will oblige you to return, a vibrant city
that will stay with you long after you've gone home."

"Paris, the capital of France, is a city of over two million people
covering 460 square miles of northern France. It is on the River Seine at
the center of the Ild-de-France, the region that is home to ten million people,
around one-fifth of the French population. An important business and
cultural center, it is the focus of activity in the north of France."
