NEW YORK CITY 2004 |
| June 23-27, 2004 |
| The members of Girl Scout Troop 183 met in the summer of 2003 to plan their
next "big" trip. Where would we go next? Everyone had a
chance to submit their ideas. After much discussion, the troop travel
committee decided we would head for New York City. We had traveled to two
other major international cities - now is the time to explore a fabulous city in
our own "backyard!" |

Girl Scout Troop 183 traveled to "The
Big Apple" on June 23, 2004. Highlights included NYC
night lights from a Double Decker bus, the Lion King Broadway Show,
Ground Zero, a fashion show, lots of shopping and a bike tour of Central
Park! We even honored our most recent Gold Award recipient, Michele,
with a ceremony on top of the Empire State Building! Check out the photos

NYC Troop Travel Information
New in 2004 - the travel committee (troop members) recommended a minimum attendance
requirement at meetings to participate in the trip. Based on feedback from
our previous trips, the girls felt that "if you want to travel, you need to
be a part of the planning and organizing."
