Suggested Activities to complete the Former Cadette Challenge

Section 1 Knowing Myself Better: Complete two activities from Chapter Three in
the Cadette Handbook.
- Page 46-47 helps you understand yourself and
your strengths.
- Complete the montage suggested on Page 53.
Section 2 Relating to Others Better: Complete two activities
from Chapter Four in the Cadette Handbook.
- Page 69 helps you understand your roles and responsibilities.
- Complete the advice sections on pages 77-79.
Section 3 Developing Values for Living:
- Plan and carry out a Girl Scouts' Own
ceremony that demonstrates the ways that the Girl Scout Promise and Law can
help you become a good citizen.
Section 4 Contributing to My Community:
- Plan and participate in a service
project for the community, this can be on your own or as a troop.
Suggested projects include:
* Party for patients at the Head and Heart Unit
* Assist with Silver or Gold Award project
* Collect food for Neighborhood Food Pantry
* Collect items for donation to homeless shelter
Section 5 Knowing About Girl Scouting: Read about Juliette Low
and WAGGGS and share what
you know with a younger group of girls. Bring pictures and items that
help the girls understand the history of the WAGGGS organization.
- Attend a troop meeting of younger girl scouts and share your photos from
our trip to Pax Lodge.
- Prepare a display for Thinking Day about another country that is a member
of WAGGGS. Share this information with younger girls.
Wrap-Up: Record what you have done in your Troop Journal. Meet with one of the troop co-leaders to discuss what you
have accomplished, what you learned about yourself in the process, what you
would do to improve what you did and how what you have done will help you in
the future.
