Planning and Preparation

Girl Scout Troop 183, is a very active troop of older girls sponsored by Wycliffe Presbyterian Church. The girls come from a variety of schools across Virginia Beach.

The troop meets throughout the school year plus participates in council events and organizes special troop programs. A variety of activities are offered through the summer months and participation in day and resident summer camp is encouraged.

The troop has a very proactive award program stressing the desired goals of the Girl Scout movement. Our bi-weekly meetings and scheduled programs are designed to give the girls leadership experience, build self-confidence, make life-long friends, and discover talents through opportunities to work on earned recognition’s in a fun environment.

Our capable adult leadership has a wealth of experience in the various aspects of the scouting program and all have attended age-appropriate Girl Scout training.

Girl Scout Troop 183 would not be possible without the support of our parents. Whether fundraising, chaperoning at events or providing program assistance, it is troop parents who form the core support team.
